Thousands of men, women & children became homeless and exposed to cold weather and psychological misery as a result of the earthquake that jolted Balochistan on October 29, 2008. In order to bring some relief in their lives, Dawood Public School, on October 31, 2008, collected and dispatched approximately 500 blankets for protection against the chilly whether and 500 toys for children to help manage the emotional trauma. Volunteers from different companies and operational areas of The Dawood Group helped in the procurement, packaging and dispatch of these goods within one day in order to take advantage of the free transport to Quetta offered by PIA.
